NBC TAKES "WONDER WOMAN" PILOT! ANTHONY HOPKINS AS ALFRED HITCHCOCK! NICOLE KIDMAN IN "LOVE AND PAIN AND THE WHOLE DAMN THING"

 After much drama around the project which was rejected by all big TV stations, David E. Kelley's pilot for WONDER WOMAN has been picked up by NBC! NBC has first rejected the pilot because the

price for licensing rights to bring the famous super hero to TV was very high. But now it seems we shall see the pilot in September 2011. The new WONDER WOMAN will apparently be more serious, and less tacky but Wonder Woman will still have her truth lasso, her bullet-deflecting cuffs, and her invisible plane.

According to "MovieWeb" Anthony Hopkins could play legendary director Alfred Hitchcock in a biopic which will center on famous filmmaker's  efforts in trying to make his horror classic

PSYCHO, which no studio wanted to make. This lead to Hitchcock financing the movie himself. The story will also focus on the director's relationship with his wife.

Sf film LOOPER, which I mentioned a few times before is getting more and more actors. Jeff Daniels and Piper Perabo have just joined the cast which already includes Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Joseph Gordon Levitt ... As you remember the sf action will follow assassins who use time travel to send the bodies of their victims back to the past.

According to "Playlist" Nicole Kidman is planning a remake of the 1973 dramedy LOVE AND PAIN AND THE WHOLE DAMN THING. If you remember, directed by Alan J. Pakula, the original movie centered on two tourists who fall in love in Spain, despite their reservations about long-term possibilities.  Kidman will play the lead role and she will produce the film through her film company which scored success last year with her critically acclaimed drama RABBIT HOLE.

QUESTION OF THE DAY  have you noticed that Jennifer Lopez still doesn't have a single vote in our current poll? I would actually feel sorry for her if she wasn't a lady who wears poor animal carcasses on her and calls it fashion!

Wow, this is a super strange combination: Clint Eastwood will direct the remake of A STAR IS BORN in which pop diva (and a lovely actress) Beyonce will play the lead role. You probably remember the previous version with Barbra Streisand  in the story which centers on an aging movie star who has an affair with a younger singer/actress whose stock is on the rise. According to fresh rumors, Warner Bros. really wants Will Smith to take the lead male role.

One of HOLLYWOOD SPY's favourite young actors, Alex Pettyfer (I AM NUMBER FOUR, BEASTLY, NOW) has been offered the lead role in the film adaptation of the bestselling fantasy saga MORTAL INSTRUMENTS according to "Playlist". Directed by Scott Stewart (LEGION, PRIEST) and starring Lily Collins, Phil's daughter, the film will follow a girl who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of warriors dedicated to driving demons out of our world. When her mother disappears, she must join a daring group of young Shadowhunters on an adventure, which leads her through a city filled with mischievous fairies, eccentric

warlocks, werewolf gangs and other strange creatures.

There's a new epic fantasy adventure coming our way in 2012. SINBAD: ROGUE OF MARS will be the first part of the new animated trilogy in which Sinbad and his crew will find a magical urn and will then get transported to another planet by a ruthless and vengeful Jinn bent on freeing his race who have been imprisoned for millennia and then laying waste to the ones responsible. The film will be based on the graphic novel which should come out this April.

WILL RACHEL WEISZ JOIN HER EX AND CURRENT LOVERS AS A VILLAIN IN NEW "JAMES BOND"? "LETHAL WEAPONS" REMAKE? RUPERT FRIEND IS "THE BEAUTIFUL FANTASTIC"!

Although there were rumors that Michael Sheen could be the new villain in JAMES BOND 23, according to "MovieWeb" the villain might be a female after all. It seems that the studio again wants Rachel Weisz to join Daniel Craig and play the evil head of the sinister organization behind

the villainy in CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Now this would all be very intriguing since Rachel Weisz and Craig have been having a secret love affair after she divorced her husband Darren Aronofsky. And what's even more interesting, and what most other sites forget but not your HOLLYWOOD SPY, is that Rachel had a love relationship back in the past with the director of the new Bond film Sam Mendes, who even made his ex wife Kate Winslet mad with his friendship with his ex lover Weisz. The new Bond film is tentatively titled RED SKY AT NIGHT.

A few days ago I asked myself what is that dear Brit Rupert Friend (also known as the boyfriend of that skinny English girl Keira Knightly), whose acting

was so captivating, perfectly balanced and charming in THE YOUNG VICTORIA, doing now? He will join Rhys Ifans and Bill Nighy in THE BEAUTIFUL FANTASTIC, a story which was proclaimed the best unproduced script of the year some time ago, and it follows a reclusive author (Felicity Jones, a British actress who could also star in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN with Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender) who shuns the outside world and spends most of her time compulsively tidying up her flat. But when she ventures out to the local library, she meets  a slapdash inventor (Rupert Friend) who loves chaos and enjoys dashing through the library aisles, much to the chagrin of the librarian.

Now, I shall leave you staring at Rachel's and Rupert pics for at least half hour ...

Josh Lucas has just joined the cast of Clint Eastwood's new drama J.EDGAR which already includes Leo DiCaprio, Judi Dench, Armie Hammer ... In the film about the famous head of The

Bureau of Investigation, Lucas will play famous pilot Charles Lindbergh, whose son's disappearance and murder was investigated by  J.Edgar Hoover. As you know Josh Lucas is also in the run for the lead in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER.

SHORT HEADLINES As you've probably heard since yesterday, the actress who is getting all the possible roles in Hollywood these days, Anne Hathaway is officially the new CatWoman in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES while Tom Hardy will play the villain Bane. Sony will make SEX ON THE MOON, a

film about a young aspiring scientist who thumbed his nose at authority by planning to steal moon rocks from his NASA employer for the love of his girlfriend. John Lithgow will play Barney's mysterious father in HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

As you know, the sequel for the successful blockbuster G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA is currently being written, and it won't be directed by Stephen Sommers again, but what is official is that Korean hunk Lee Byung-hun will reprise his role of the magnificent Storm Shadow, a  ninja from the team of villains who always wears dashing white outfits. The shooting of the action adventure should start sometime this June. Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols and others should all come back to the sequel as well since their original contracts predicted a possible second gig too.

Here's another interesting cast: A VIEW FROM A BRIDGE will have Anthony LaPaglia playing  Carbone, a dockworker who is unhappily married to Beatrice (Vera Farmiga) while raising their niece Catherine (Mia Wasikowska). When Beatrice's cousins visit from Italy and become enamored with Catherine, Eddie becomes consumed with jealousy and rage.  The adaptation of the Arthur Miller's play will also include Sam Neill and young Sebastian Stan.

After a long search, STARZ has found their new Spartacus, a man who will replace Andy Whitfield in the second season of their super popular epic series SPARTACUS BLOOD AND SAND. The lucky guy is young Liam McIntyre, whom HOLLYWOOD SPY has mentioned before as the possible candidate. The Australian actor will now play the Thracian warrior sold into slavery in the

Roman Republic, after which he became the champion of the arena, and then he lead the slave revolt which we've seen in the end of the first season. We've seen McIntyre in TV series THE PACIFIC, NEIGHBOURS and he will, as producers said, take Spartacus forward instead of just replacing Whitfield.

SHORT HEADLINES Johnny Depp is officially playing Tonto in the film adaptation of LONE RANGER. Darren Aronofsky (THE FOUNTAIN, BLACK SWAN) may direct BATMAN 4. Last year's blockbuster RED will get it's sequel bringing Helen Mirren, Bruce Willis and John Malkovich together again, the writers have been already hired.

HENRY CAVILL AND ALEX O'LOUGHLIN SHOULD BE THE NEXT JAMES BOND. NEW POLL: THE BEST ROMANTIC ACTRESS!

Ah, the second part of WHO SHOULD BE THE NEXT JAMES BOND was basically a huge battle between Alex O'Loughlin's and Henry Cavill's fans. Both are charming gentlemen, but in the end Henry Cavill won with 30% of your votes leaving Alex O'Loughlin in the second place with 29% of your votes.Young Luke Evans got amazing 11% of 360 total votes.

What makes Henry Cavill so special in the sea of celebrity hunks is that differently from most of them who carry the vibe of naughty rebels and sexy bad boys, Henry bears the positive charisma, he's the good guy, the guy next door all girls want to marry and live with him happily ever after. The world noticed him in

his amazing role of Duke Charles Brandon in the mesmerizing historical saga THE TUDORS. After that the doors of Tinseltown have opened up for him and he now has two big new movies set for release in the future: he will be the brave Perseus in Tarsem Singh's ancient Greek epic IMMORTALS this November, and he will take the lead role in THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY alongside Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver.
