CHRISTIAN BALE IN SF EPIC "DARK TOWER"? ABC PLANNING "POE" TV SHOW. FIRST PICTURES FROM EPIC FANTASY "JABBERWOCKY"!

Even though there are years before we see Ron Howard's adaptation of Stephen King's famous sf saga DARK TOWER, we've already seen a lot of stars in the list of possible lead actors including Hugh Jackman,

Jon Hamm, and the two biggest contenders Javier Bardem and Viggo Mortensen, but according to "Beyond Hollywood" they now have an extremely strong rival. Fresh Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner, hyper talented Christian Bale could also get the role of the famous gunslinger Roland Deschain. He actually sounds like the best choice if you ask me! Always loved him in all of his roles and he could use a big new role in a big new saga which will have three movies and two seasons of TV show.

SHORT HEADLINES ABC has ordered a pilot for the new TV series called POE, which will follow the famous writer employing unusual methods to solve crimes in the 19th century Boston.

Ah, here's a super crazy plot: THE DETAILS will be a weird comedy starring Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney and Ray Liotta, about a family who discovers raccoons living in their backyard. As they try to eradicate the vandals, a chain reaction of infidelities, extortion, organ donation and murder ensues. Now, everybody knows how much I adore raccoons, the sweetest creatures ever!

Check out the first pictures from the unusual fantasy film we've never heard of before. Produced by American World Pictures and Bron Studios JABBERWOCKY (what a horrible title) will be an epic fantasy film starring Tahmoh Penikett (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Michael Worth (ACAPULCO H.E.A.T.), Kacey Barnfield (RESIDENT EVIL), Raffaello Degruttola, Steven Waddington, Richard Riddell, Ian Virgo, and directed by Steven

R. Monroe. The film chronicles the story of a young squire (Michael Worth) who, alongside his brother (Tahmoh Penikett), must become a warrior to save his people and the woman he loves (Kacey Barnfield) after a horrific beast is unleashed on the Kingdom. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing this will be a TV movie or a mini-series.

HOLLYWOOD SPY REACHES 300,000 VISITORS AND READERS FROM 196 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD!

Ah, have you noticed that according to my FLAG COUNTER (in the bottom of the left side-bar) HOLLYWOOD SPY has reached and surpassed its 300,000 visitor? I'm beyond happy. I remember how last year, when we were celebrating 50,000 visitor somebody said that they're sure we would reach 100,000 till

the end of 2010, and look at this - we've made that number three times bigger. The average number of readers has jumped in January again, and is now between 1,200 and 1,700 readers every day, with the record of 7,000 visitors in one day still remaining in September 2010. HOLLYWOOD SPY has also been read by people from 196 different countries around the world! So, I must thank you my little freaks. Not just for making all those numbers so high and still rising, but also for giving me, and my penguins, love and support on a daily basis. What also makes me happy is when I see how many of you have become friends meeting each other here at your favourite film site. HOLLYWOOD SPY loves you and there's nothing you can do about it :) Keep on being gorgeous and charming as you are.

A fresh Oscar nominee James Franco has been offered a role in LOVELACE, a movie about the famous porn star Linda Lovelace who will be played by Kate Hudson. According to "MovieWeb" Franco will

The fresh new character posters have just been published showing Emily Browning as Baby Doll, Vanessa Hudgens as Blondie, Jena Malone as Rocket and Jamie Chung as Amber. Amy Winehouse recording duet with Cee Lo Green

Amy Winehouse for her new album has recorded a track with Cee Lo Green.Singer hasn't release single album since 2006’s hugely popular Back to Black.

Due to regular high profile incidents faced by Amy,it seems that she would never be return to music industry once again and it was feared that the heights of her second LP which spawned hits such as Love Is a Losing Game and You Know I’m No Good would never be reached.

Amy Winehouse will duet with Cee Lo Green for a track of her upcoming third studio album according to reports. The Rehab singer had been recording with producer Salaam Remi in Caribbean island, St. Lucia when she met the Forget You singer

"Her voice is as good as ever. She might look frail when you see her but don't be deceived, the voice is still there. Amy has a house in St Lucia and decided to fly out. She and Cee Lo just clicked and he said he wouldn't leave the island until the track was done, a source told a British newspaper, before adding: "Amy's album is entirely finished, so it's just a case of the record company deciding when to release it."

NEW "MATRIX" COMING UP? "MARGIN CALL" WITH KEVIN SPACEY, PAUL BETTANY, JEREMY IRONS & ZACHARY QUINTO. "THE LEDGE" WITH PATRICK WILSON, LYV TYLER, CHRISTOPHER GORHAM & CHARLIE HUNNAM!

It seems this will be the day of HOLLYWOOD SPY'S favourite actors! First here's a great cast for a not so interesting movie: MARGIN CALL will have Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany (my favourite), Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto (my favourite),

Penn Badgley, Simon Baker and Stanley Tucci in its cast. Set in the high-stakes world of the financial industry, this will be a thriller entangling the key players at an investment firm during one perilous 24-hour period in the early stages of the 2008 financial crisis. When entry-level analyst Peter Sullivan (Zachary Quinto) unlocks information that could prove to be the downfall of the firm, a roller-coaster ride ensues as decisions both financial and moral catapult the lives of all involved to the brink of disaster.

Here's the crazy news of the day: according to AICN, two MATRIX 3D films are currently in the works. According to mysterious rumors, Keanu Reeves had a meeting with the Wachowski brothers during Christmas and they have completed their secret work on the scripts for two new sequels which would bring us back to the crazy world of MATRIX.

THE LEDGE, a film with great cast which premiered last week at Sundance Festival has been bought for national distribution. In this race-against-time thriller, the opposing philosophies of two men embroiled in a complicated love triangle with a beautiful woman (Lyv Tyler) escalate into a lethal battle of wills. Ultimately, the believer (Patrick Wilson-my favourite) forces the non-believer (Charlie Hunnam) onto the ledge of a tall building. He gives him one hour to make a choice between his own life and someone else's, a while a policeman (Terrence Howard) tries to convince him to come down. Without faith of an afterlife, will he be capable of such a sacrifice? The film also stars Christopher Gorham (my favourite).

PS, I know most of you will hate me for this :) - but I'm soooo glad Nolan didn't get a nomination for an Oscar today :)

ADVENTUROUS ROMAN EPIC "THE EAGLE" WITH CHANNING TATUM, JAMIE BELL AND DONALD SUTHERLAND

Since you know how your HOLLYWOOD SPY loves epics and historical adventures, one of my most anticipated films of 2011 is the Roman epic THE EAGLE (previously titled THE EAGLE OF THE NINTH), which is going to

premiere in cinemas February 25th with great cast including Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Mark Strong, Donald Sutherland, Denis O’Hare, Douglas Henshall, Paul Ritter, Ben O’Brien, Tahar Rahim ... The film is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald (THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, STATE OF PLAY).

The story starts in 140 AD, when two men,  master and slave, venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism…  20 years earlier, Rome’s 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under

the command of Flavius Aquila (Donald Sutherland), marched north carrying their treasured golden Eagle emblem. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Flavius’ son Marcus (Channing Tatum), determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, is galvanized into

action. Accompanied only by his slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia, the vast and dangerous highlands of Scotland, to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem the hallowed Eagle of the Ninth. Along the way Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).
