"Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse broke down in tears as she watched troubled actress Lindsay Lohan carted off to jail earlier this week, OK! Magazine reported Thursday.
"That could have been me!," Winehouse reportedly told her friends as the "Mean Girl" actress checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. on Tuesday to begin serving her sentence for violating her probation in an alcohol related reckless driving case in 2007.

In December 2007, paparazzi snapped shots of an obviously disoriented Winehouse outside her London home barefoot and wearing only a bra and jeans.
A month later, photos circulated depicting a woman alleged to be Winehouse, apparently smoking crack cocaine and bragging about using ecstasy and valium.
Winehouse's ex-husband, Blake Fielder Civil, who has told the media he introduced Winehouse to crack and heroin, has also served jail time for assault.
On Thursday, Lindsay Lohan was spending her third day in the California jail.
She reportedly burst into tears after prison wardens ripped out her hair extensions and forced her to remove her false eyelashes, the Daily Mirror reported.
The 24 year old actress was told she had to remove the fake hair as she entered the correctional facility.
But Lohan is reportedly adjusting to prison and is “cool, calm and sleeping a lot,” a source from inside the jail told TMZ.
It was previously reported she would serve just 14 days due to prison overcrowding but a jail source said he expected the star to serve just nine days of her 90 day sentence.
Lohan’s mother Dina and her sister Ali went to see the star Wednesday afternoon even though visiting hours after normally limited to weekends, the entertainment website reported.
It also emerged Wednesday that Lohan would be allowed to take prescription drugs including Adderall and Ambien.

Ending the guessing game about the record, the 26 year old entirely gave us the full details during the bash at the Prince Charles Cinema in London’s Leicester Square.
‘At the most album will be six months,’ she said, positively bouncing in her glam pink dress.
The Grammy award winner added that it will be similar to her hit record Back To Black, explaining: ‘It’s going to be very much the same as my second album, where there’s a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are... just jukebox, actually.’
While Winehouse’s previous attempts at a live comeback have been slated as ropey at best, the plucky star explained she liked to freestyle on stage.
‘I tend to write everything first,’ she said. ‘The live show is pretty much whatever it is for me.’
And on the prospect of a return to form and proving herself again, Amy added: ‘I just can’t wait to have some new songs on stage, actually.’
So, will horror film director Reg who has been credited with helping Winehouse’s recovery be overseeing her next video then? Unlikely, said the star, adding: ‘I think Reg has got a lot on.’
After several bids to clean herself up in the Caribbean, Winehouse said it was good to be back and to be sober on the streets where she once caused mayhem.
‘To be in London is a holiday, to be honest,’ she added.
