The End of 'Britney Spears iPod & More'
to officialy close Britney Spears iPod & More. I really didn't want to do this,
but due to the situation I am in, I can no longer continue with the blog. There are
times in which I haven't updated up to a week, and thats pretty strange because
at the beginning, I used to update about 3 times a day. I feel like I don't have the
same "desire" I did when I first opened the blog back in April. I know I had told you
guys that I got part time and withdrew from my classes, but they gave me full time
again, and I start a new semester.
If you guys don't know where to download exclusive Britney Spears media, you could
check out any of my affiliates, because they provide really good Britney media. Or, what
I always do, is check out Britney fansites because they have the latest news. I recommend
you guys checking Ubritney.com, HeyBritney.com, BreatheHeavy.com, and
BritneyExperts.com . I always check these sites EVERYDAY, because they provide you
with exclusive news!!
I also want to let you guys know, that just because I'm closing the blog, that DOES NOT
mean that I don't like Britney Spears anymore. I LOVE Britney and will always support
her in anything she does. I will support her all the way, and I know that she knows what
she's doing, and I just want her to have love and peace in her life.
But especially I want give thanks to all u guys for visiting the blog everyday,
Thanks again!

'Piece of Me' ~ Live
Well you guys, I hope u had a great Thanksgiving yesterday!! Today is
New information about the 'Piece Of Me' music video
“They rescheduled it for next week,” said a statement issued last weekend. “It’s strictly the production company’s fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time.” The shooting is for her second single ‘Piece of Me’ that is confirmed by Sony/BMG to be officially released on January 11, 2008.
A source has spilled the concept of the video to World Entertainment News Network saying, “Location scouts are still trying to find a club in Los Angeles for the shoot. The video is very hush-hush, but I understand it will feature scenes of Britney trying to escape the clutches of the paparazzi.
”She is revisiting "the darkest point in her life."
A cover for the single which will be released to radio outlets on Tuesday, November 27, has been leaked earlier this month.

Bonus Britney!!!
Here are two more bonus tracks!! The first one is a fan-made version
of Britney's unreleased clip Little Me or Just Yesterday. I really hope
that this track will leak, because it will be a cool one. The second one is
an unreleased track called She'll Never Be Me. This song sounds like if
she did it for Justin Timberlake (??) Enjoy!!
My Opinion...
I mean, why did Billboard have to change the rules this week?! They fuckin
suck, seriously!!! Even though she is #2, the sales she did weren't as good as
what she often does . Maybe when Britney finds this out, she will start doing
I just wish they rethink it and make her #1 =)
'Billboard' Shocker: Eagles Beat Britney!
Despite strong early sales and general critical approval (including PEOPLE's own three-star review), the singer's new album, Blackout, failed to claim the top slot on "The Billboard 200" in the music-industry trade publication.
Instead, thanks to a revised tracking policy, Billboard announced that the The Eagles' Long Road to Eden won the week. The album, available at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, sold 711,000 copies compared to Spears's 290,000. (Previously, albums sold exclusively though select retailers were not eligible for most Billboard charts.)
"We would have preferred to make this decision earlier," said Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts, "but only became aware within the last 24 hours that Wal-Mart would be willing to share the data for this title with Nielsen SoundScan."
The bad news came just one day after Spears was ordered to pay $120,000 in lawyer fees for her ex Kevin Federline.

'Break the Ice' New Single?
The Pop Princess's latest album 'Blackout', is expected to debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums next week. That will let Spears to break her own record again by becoming the first female artist in SoundScan history to have her first five studio albums debut at number-one. (She previously set the record for her 2003 number-one album In The Zone). According to Billboard, the album sold about 125,000 copies on its first day.
The lead single from the album- 'Gimme More' has reached the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Britney's record label Jive is ready to release the next single 'Break The Ice' (produced by Nate Hills), which is expected to hit the airwaves in mid-November.

Britney On Track To Exceed 1st-Week Sales Expectations
In what could signal a reversal of fortune, the pop singer's "Blackout" album, which bowed October 30 via Jive, is living up to expectations and then some.
Based on first-day sales, "Blackout" is on track to sell between 325,000 and 350,000 units in its first week, estimate sales and distribution executives at three major labels whose responsibilities include making such projections. That's better than the 300,000 units that sales executives at Zomba Records -- the Sony BMG label-group parent to Jive Records -- projected when they took orders for the album from retailers in October.
Spears' last studio album, "In the Zone," released in 2003, scanned 2.96 million units, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
At Best Buy, senior entertainment officer Gary Arnold said, "Britney is doing better than we thought. Her first-day sales are at about 135 percent of our forecast," which means 35 percent higher than expected.
Newbury Comics head of purchasing Carl Mello, meanwhile, said her album is doing "slightly better than I expected. I think the notoriety is helping sales because it is creating awareness about the album. The only instance I can think of when notoriety hurt is (with) Michael Jackson, but has Britney been as devilish as Michael?
"The question for Britney, he said, is whether sales hold up.
Zomba senior vice president of sales Bob Anderson said that, based on first-day sales, the album may outperform the label's first-week expectations. What's more, first-week sales might have been even better had the label not moved the release date up from November 13 to thwart bootleggers and digital pirates. That date change caused Spears to miss out on a couple of major Sunday circulars, Anderson said.
The label has revised its sales projection upward to 330,000-350,000 units. "We have seen a major turn of the tide," Anderson said. "The focus is off her personal life and on the music, and that's where it should be."
Sentiment within the music industry indeed seems to be swinging that way.
"All of her agita, issues and notoriety have some executives thinking that people are feeling sorry for her and that she is going to have a big record," one senior executive at a competing label said.
Trans World divisional merchandise manager for music Jerry Kamiler said he expected the album to do well, and that based on first-day sales, it is. "The single, 'Gimme More,' is performing extremely well; she still has a fan base and they say the quality of the music is good; and she is getting a tremendous amount of press, not all of it good." All of that, he said, could add up to a big record.
Between Spears' album and the Backstreet Boys' "Unbreakable" album, which also came out October 30, "I feel like I am in a time warp," Kamiler said.
"But if this was 10 years ago," he added, "Jive would be looking to sell a million units apiece in the first week."

'Blackout' Sales Huge, Soaring To #1
First-day sales from the eight chains that report to Nielsen SoundScan's Building Charts put Spears' Jive/Zomba release "Blackout" at 124,000 on the report released today (Oct. 31).
That is more than double the number of units posted by Carrie Underwood's chart-topping "Carnival Ride," which rounded up 49,000 sales from the start of the tracking week through close of business yesterday. That album is currently in the runner-up position.
Since the Building Charts' inception, six of the seven weeks' Wednesday leaders were also No. 1 on The Billboard 200 when final charts were compiled with data from all reporting sellers. Jimmy Eat World's "Chase This Light" was the only Wednesday leader that did not hold its pole position.
The Building Charts also seem to confirm that the nation's biggest seller, Wal-Mart, will not report sales on its U.S. exclusive, the Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden," as that much-anticipated album is missing from the Wednesday list. Wal-Mart usually blocks its proprietary titles from appearing on Top Comprehensive Albums, as was the case with its Garth Brooks exclusives.
Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Company, the racks that stock music at Wal-Mart, are among the eight accounts who provide data to Nielsen SoundScan's Building Charts. The remaining six reporting merchants are Trans World Entertainment, iTunes, Best Buy, Circuit City and Target.
"In the Zone," Spears' last studio album, opened with 609,000 in 2003 when it became her fourth No. 1 album. The Eagles' last major album, the live "Hell Freezes," began at 267,000 units when it posted the first of two weeks it spent in the top slot of The Billboard 200.

Britney Will Do 'Selective Promotion'
Blackout, the singer's first studio album since 2003, arrives in stores Tuesday, and she still seems to have retained some of the popularity that fueled four No. 1 albums that have sold more than 75 million copies worldwide.
Despite tabloid reports about her marriages and divorce, rehab stints, weight gain, driving mishaps and child custody problems, the 25-year-old singer's latest single, Gimme More, is a sales hit. It topped Nielsen SoundScan's digital songs chart earlier this month and is now No. 8, having sold a solid 527,000 copies in four weeks.
"You almost have to throw out the rule book when you evaluate her," says Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts. "You might think the attention she's gotten doesn't bode well, but the first single has been well received."
The track initially was strongly embraced by mainstream top-40 radio stations, but it peaked at No. 17 and falls to No. 22 this week. Mayfield says it could become a dance hit but isn't likely to gain footing in other major formats.
Spears sold nearly 20 million copies of 1999's ... Baby One More Time and 2000's Oops! ... I Did It Again, but nobody does those numbers anymore. Even the 2 million sold by 2003's In the Zone would be a good showing in this era of digital track downloads and dwindling album sales.
Still, Barry Weiss, president and CEO of Jive Records' parent Zomba Label Group, is bullish about the album's prospects, based on Gimme More's download sales. He says that it's hard to predict how an artist who has been off the market for four years will fare but that the album's high-energy dance/pop is what her fans expect.
"The sound is a maturation from her prior albums," Weiss says. "In the Zone hinted in this direction, and this album fulfills that promise.""With so much noise out there about her, we are trying to keep the focus on the music as much as possible." He says Spears "will do her part" in promoting the album, but the company will be "very selective" about what she's asked to do.
The 12-track Blackout is produced largely by Timbaland protege Nate "Danja" Hills and the Swedish duo Bloodshy & Avant, who helmed her Grammy-winning hit Toxic. Stephen Lenz, editor of AOL Music's PopEater and a contributor to the blog's Britneywatch, says Spears is the site's third-most-searched-for artist and Gimme More is the fourth-most-watched video. The comments he sees there (music.aol.com/popeater) are evenly split between forever-faithful fans and those disaffected by her antics.
He's not sure how that will translate into album sales, but that may not matter. "She's got her money. The point is to stay relevant. She's really feeding this machine, but it's a Catch-22. She needs to stay in the public eye, but stay out of trouble."
