Catwalk 2011: Bridal Hairstyle with Florals

Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2011 bridal runway show was chockfull of wedding day inspiration! Herrera’s models sported gorgeous wedding hairstyles down the catwalk, and the adornments were totally unique!
Fresh flowers (including white calla lilies) were tucked neatly into the models’ bridal updos, a great alternative to more traditional hair accessories. The juxtaposition of the white blooms and dark, silky hair proved to be a killer combination!
Other bridal designers like Kenneth Pool and Monique Lhuillier jumped on the flower power bandwagon, but used fabric flowers instead of fresh. Lhuillier’s models donned tight, sleek top knot updos finished with lovely floral hair pieces, while Pool’s models sported their florals lower and on one side of the head.
I’ve always loved incorporating a flower or two into my special occasion hairstyle, so this is one 2011 trend I’m loving. What do you think of this wedding hairstyle trend? Love it or leave it? Cast your vote in the comment section below!
